Welcome to Coventry Premier Flying Club mini-site.
In 2004 the Coventry Premier Flying Club moved headquarters to the Rose and Woodbine, North Street, Coventry, sharing facilities with the Barras Green Homing Society who fly in the Warwickshire and District federation.
The main stalwart of the club is Mick Butcher; besides being secretary, he is clock setter for both clubs. Our president is long serving and highly respected Bryan Cole who is well known in Coventry and the West Midlands. This year (2006) Bryan and his wife Jean are completing there 50th year as members of the BGHS.
The clubhouse, situated at the rear of the Rose and Woodbine, is an L shaped building; a huge table built by ex BGHS member George Howes dominates the short leg. This makes a great clock table with still plenty of room for sitting waiting for the results. The long leg is where birds are marked for racing and where the BGHS winter shows are held.
Since moving to the new headquarters, the flying membership has grown, with a large number being members of both clubs.
