Welcome to the Race Hub! You will probably want to know what 'The Race' is all about, well let me tell you! Upon this hub you will find details about 10 of the webmaster's hens, and 10 cocks (the Birds). You may browse at these birds as much as you want, choosing which you think will race the best for the 2004 old bird season. Once you've pondered over which birds are the 'likeliest'; view photos, statistics, disscuss their merits on the Message Forum; its then time to choose 2 cocks, 2 hens and 2 reserve birds that will best represent you for the duration of the competition. Entry is by a simple form, and completely free. You will be able to change such choices until the closing date of 1st April 2004. |

One of the 10 hens to choose from. | Upon that date entries will be closed and no further alterations will be allowed. Usually the first Saturday of April sees the first race of the season, and scoring will begin! Each competition bird will be ranked on loft performance against each other, and an average 'rating' shall be calculated (see rules); and another average taken of your 4 birds' performances; which will give your score for the leaderboard. This website will be updated regularly after each race so that you can track the performance of your 'likeliest' four! And at the end of the season the entrant with the best rating |

The competition is open to fanciers and non-fanciers alike; and only if you have some 'inside info' of the webmaster's loft will your entry be declined! All the pigeons in 'The Race' will be raced to the same loft, on the same system, getting the same treatment; more info on the loft see the info page. |
