Inquiries on Roller & Tippler rings...
Author: Jan Lombard (South Africa) & Mario Corral (Australia)Title: Inquiries on Roller & Tippler rings
Date: 2004-09-28 12:18:10Uploaded by: webmaster
We collect pigeon bands (rings) as a hobby. We believe most of the following bands are for performance flying pigeons, e.g. rollers or tipplers / high flyers. Some of the clubs included in the list is for fancy (show) pigeon breed clubs. The reason for their inclusion is that they cater for tumbler breeds. Some of the included clubs is unknown, but the club initials are included because the size of the rings are similar to that of roller rings.

We will try to describe the bands. We need information on the following bands in our collections. In some instances we know the club’s name, but need to know if it is a flying or a show club? We will try to give whatever information we have on the clubs. Please let us know if it is incorrect. It will also be interesting to get answers on the following questions: 1] When was these clubs established? 2] How many rings do they use per season? 3] Who manufactures their rings etc.

Unless stated otherwise, all these bands have an inside diameter of 0.292” = 7mm and are therefore of roller/tippler size.
